G-City Blues Society
Please Fill Out the Form If You Would Like to be Included in this Project
The concept of organizing a Blues Society in Gate City follows the desire of the Town of Gate City to have Arts and Music as part of it’s Desire to be a Leader in the Region. Bringing Arts and Music to the Public generates opportunities for greater social interaction in a community as well as generating more activity that can be a component to adding more members to the business community.
The G-City Blues Society would provide a central location in the two state region with the Crooked Trail Project in Virginia as a ally. Having a Society allows for musicians and fans alike to interact and foster musicians, spread Blues Music across the region and create a venue for musicians to collaborate and play in many venues and configurations.
The G-City Blues Society would also allow for a base for creating mini-music festivals in communities all over the region. Allowing new and established groups, individual performers and fans to socialize, mentor and create within an organized society.
Please visit The Blues Foundation at blues.org for more information on the concept. The Blues Foundation would be the Affiliated Home of the G-City Blues Society. The web site for The Blues Foundation allows for individual research for the concept as well as the ability to visit Society websites worldwide.
